I went with a story my friend who's obsessed with vampires told me a couple of years ago that really stuck with me for some reason.
Here's the condensed story:::
A young woman in the 1800s was bitten by a vampire against her will. She found the thought of drinking blood to survive absolutely horrifying, but she knew that if she didn't she would end up going berserk and drinking every human being she saw's blood. So to keep this from happening, even though it would cost her life, she sew her lips together with a single black thread and only shed a single tear.
The story really got to me and this was inspired by that. Some people say that story is true, though who knows.
